[ Jim meets his eyes with a happy smile when he feels Zell's hand on his back. He meets his boyfriend's other hand on top of Mochi's head, giving the cat another little scritch before he pops up to his feet in order to shed his jacket and the thicker sweater he wears over his normal shirt. After a moment's hesitation, he ditches the boots, too. Gotta have every advantage! ]
Guess you start over again. Unless you're talking about a bet?
Guess you start over again. Unless you're talking about a bet?
[ Jim's clothes most certainly do not land in a neat pile, but hopefully Zell's too distracted to notice - nope. There he goes. Jim can only smile fondly as he watches his boyfriend tidy up. ]
Hm. What do you want to bet?
[ As Jim asks, he picks up the spinner board and twirls it. Right foot, red. ]

[ Jim pretends to think about it as he nudges Zell back, but not for very long. ]
Alright, Sunshine. Bring it on.
[ Jim's pretty sure he's going to be losing this one, but he's strangely okay with that. Anyway, he's not going down without a fight. ]

I - huh.
[ It'd be easy at first, but if they get too twisted it's going to be pretty hard. Jim casts his eyes around and they land on Mochi, who's innocently bathing himself. ]
Think we could talk the furball into it?

Think we could talk the furball into it?
[ Jim watches with a small smile as Zell negotiates with the cat. He was a little skeptical that Mochi would do anything other than laze, but it looks like they're in luck for now. ]
Then c'mon. You have a bet to win, right?
Then c'mon. You have a bet to win, right?
That's going to be pretty hard to stop! [ It makes zero sense, but Jim gets it anyway. He's also not the one complaining about being distracted, so he doesn't mind a break for making out in the wheelchair. Better than thinking about where they are.
It's a good thing there are no monsters on this floor, they'd be dead. ]
[ Jim's reflexes are just slightly slower; his hand slaps down over Zell's and he gives Zell a pout before moving it one down, closer to their feet. ]
Looking forward to it.
[ Jim can make some guesses, unless Zell decides to be mean and make him do something embarrassing instead. He glances over at Mochi, who's moved it to - ]
Left foot red. Think fast!
[ Jim crouches low enough to slide his foot under Zell, taking the second red from the top. ]

[ That's alright, he ended up where he wanted to be anyway. Jim has to think for a moment before he hooks his his right arm around Zell's left to put it squarely in the middle green. When he tilts his head to try and get a look at where Mochi's put them now, he's looking up at Zell. ]
Hey. Right foot green.
[ Which means he's sliding back from under Zell to plant his foot on the second green from the bottom. This is almost comfortable! ]

Sure, if you want to think of it that way.
[ Jim puts his hand over Zell's on his hip and leans into it for a moment longer before breaking away. ]
C'mon. Let's go.

[ They've checked enough of this floor, right? If something were going to eat them, it probably would've done it already?
(This is progress for Jim, in a way. Better mental health through makeouts!)
Jim wraps his arms around Zell's shoulders, holding on. It's a good thing, too, because a moment later he loses that cat like grace and sends it squeaking back a few inches. Jim tightens his grip on Zell's shoulders, but unless Zell thinks fast they're butting heads. ]

[ Jim's aware that he hasn't been the best boyfriend over the past few days. The best anything, really; even compared to his usual attitude, the day following his talk with Zack have been bad. Zack said he'd been different since his death but right now Jim feels like the same person he was before the map changed his life. Miserable, withdrawn, unwilling to meet the people that cared about him halfway. Unwilling to meet Zell halfway.
He slips away again once they've made it inside, but it doesn't feel right to be alone tonight. He's spent enough time turning it over and ha has gotten nowhere - no closer to making peace with the idea that there really is something wrong with him that he can't fix on his own. He needs help, as much as he hates to admit it; he's not strong enough.
He abandons his pack but keeps his tablet and digs out a blanket, too, before going to find Zell. Wherever he finds him, Jim stays slightly back, trying to think of some way to start the conversation.
Eventually, he can't manage anything but a feeble: ]
