[ Steph is wrapped up in a nest of blankets, towels and stuffed animals with Zach and Steve when she calls. ]

Hey, I need a favor. Do you have any secrets you're willing to give up that would entertain Ecks?

[swatsflies]

[ At least they are warm.

Zell is tired, and his voice is a little sore, but he does perk up over Steph calling and her mentioning Ecks. ]

Yo, Steph. Secrets, huh? [ Thinking about it. ] Not sure if it's a secret, but House joined him when Jim was putting our initials around the school. He drew mechas and motorcycles with the initials J.W. inside of them.

That's practically cute, it totally counts. Why JW?

Not really sure. [ There is a pause. ] Isn't there a guy that just arrived who might know House? He's an Oncologist? [ He shrugs even Steph can't see it. ] Might be a coincidence though.

Hmmm... Wilson? I think that was his name.

It's J. Wilson. I remember his username being almost the same as Watson's.

Right. Well, they're pretty close. I could see House trying to get him in trouble.

[ They pretend not to be close, but they're not very good at it. ]

If they were pretty close he could have missed him when he wrote his initials on the school walls. [ Zell is being optimistic though. ] That was almost two months ago.

Nah, he's not sentimental like that. That would almost be sweet.

You never know. He could be hiding something under all of that sour ass. [ DEEP DEEP DOWN IN THERE SOME WHERE. ]

He is. But he's way better at hiding it than that.

Maybe. Bet you'll crack it though. [ If she hadn't already. Though that does remind him of something!] He did tell me how he used to deal with constant pain.

Aww, I've broken it. I think he prefers it when people give him a hard time, though.

It wouldn't surprise me. He likes being quiet in person though. It's pretty weird.

I guess he's mostly an internet troll. Like, he says outrageous things just to get a reaction, but not so that there are any immediate consequences like getting punched in the face.

Think he messes up on that last part. Pretty sure he's been punched in the face a lot. [ Or inspire others to want to do it. ]

True that. Maybe he's not used to people so willing to actually do it. He's a doctor, after all - nobody really wants to punch a doctor, not when they can get in trouble for it.

Or he likes it. [ That's a thing, right? People liking pain? Whatever it is it's weird. ] Oh! And I saw him teaching Quark how to play the piano.

Aww. You see what I mean? He's much sweeter than he lets on.

Maybe he's weak towards kids. [ Or Quark is just cute. ] Whatever it was, he didn't like that there was a witness. [ He was pretty sour and to the point. ] How many secrets have you gotten so far for Ecks?

Plenty, I should think. I got one from Zach, one from Angel, one from Al, two from you, and a few of my own. With everything else I offered, that should square the deal easy.

Wha? [ It takes him a moment to realize that it's ZacH and not ZacK. ] Oh! [ Then after a second and sounding less enthusiastic: ] Oh. It's... not something about blue balls, is it? [ THAT IS NEVER GOING TO BE LIVED DOWN. ]
