Either it's being around the dead or something was done to keep people from investigating it too much. Could be what's wrong with the hospital. Someone was done to make people want to stay out or not investigate too much. That would be some heavy duty magic... and none of that should really work here.
I won't be able to go for some time. I'm on the other side of the town. Will let you know when I do manage to get down there.
