Finally got a lot of sleep, huh.. What, was I not much of a sleeper here?

[ Sure, the place kinda gives him the creeps, but... He feels like he's slept in worse places. Save the cold. The cold's pretty shitty and he might be complaining to himself when he realizes he won't have anywhere warm to actually stay at for a... while. ]

Just going to leave it as a lot happens here. I mean a lot.

[ This is pretty awkward. It's like Steve and Captain all over again. And then he remembers something from the conversations from earlier and he breaks out laughing. ]

[ Zack had been about to say something to that- though he's not sure what exactly. Not when Zell's suddenly cracking up like that. He's... at a loss then, waiting for Zell's laughter to die down some, but Zack's never been one for patience and eventually he finally shoots: ] Hey! What's so funny?

It's just right now, I'm older than you.

You told Beckett that you're almost seventeen! [ So that makes him totally mentally older. ]

I think you have Jim beat at least.

Well, yeah, but I was wrong! I'm -.. actually, I'm twenty-three.

[ And here he is correcting himself already. Because right- Kunsel said that other time passed.

Man, he sure doesn't feel like time's passed.

Because the last thing he remembers is that day he was complaining to Kunsel about not being sent out and then-

Close enough! [ No, it's not, Zack. It's really not.

...But at least he's older than Jim. THERE'S SOME SILVER LINING HERE, RIGHT? ]

-But, uh. Kunsel.. Kunsel said it's been five years since he last saw me and I guess there was even more time that passed before that.

[ Which from the sound of his voice... that's still just fucking nuts to him, okay. HE DID NOT SIGN UP TO DO THE TIME WARP. ]

not close enough. That's almost ten years! [ And a beat. ] Maybe Jim should count as older. He has more experience for sure. [ Zack is getting demoted to youngest. ]

Five years, huh? [ Trying to fit that together with what he knows. ] Sounds like he just list his memories of this place then. While you lost...

[ A LOT MORE. ]

Nine months.. yeah. That's what Jim was saying.

[ And he sounds awfully sheepish to repeat that. Nine months... is a long time, even if it sounds like nothing compared to years. Because it's nine months away from everything he knows. They aren't even on Gaia apparently. ]

But hey, that's more than close enough if you ask me.

He can be your mentor until you remember everything.

[ Teach him the ropes again. It might help both of them out for the time being. ]

Kunsel probably has a million notes stored on his tablet. You know, he did save all of those fan mails. You should ask him who was helping get the scoop on you. [ SPOILERS: it's kunsel ]

[ His mentor. The idea of someone who's supposed to be his junior usually being his mentor just sounds even weirder. Weird enough for him to raise a brow. ]

...Yeah, Kunsel should have a lot of notes if he's been around here a long time, too. There's no way he wouldn't. That's just Kuns.

Yup. Pretty sure he has profiles on everyone here. Not sure how he manages to find the time to do it, but he does.

[ It's pretty impressive. Zell doesn't have the attention for it. He just stores it all in his head and hopes he gets it right. ]

Because he's way too overinvested in knowing everything. You know that's why most of his ex-girlfriends broke up with him, right?

[ He feels like that's a story he would have told them if he were that good of friends with them. But maybe the subject had just never come up? Who knows? ]

Which is a good thing it's not 'cause as much as I love him, there's no way I'm being someone's best man in their PHS wedding!

[ What even has this conversation turned into? He's not sure, but he's laughing all the same. ]
